Welcome Home Somatics Community Offerings

Rooted in the belief that we need each other for real individual and societal transformation, Welcome Home Somatics offers several somatics-focused groups to foster more spaces to learn and practice in community.

Strozzi Somatic Foundations for Folks Living w/ Cranky Bodies (Part 1)

Learn about the transformative Strozzi/generative somatic approach to somatics through the lens of — and in community with people who are also — living in a cranky body. This will be a small group (6-8 people) 8-week online exploration of the principles and practices of somatics in the Strozzi/generative somatics lineage for anyone who identifies as chronically ill, sick, disabled, or living with chronic pain. This series includes two optional 1:1 coaching sessions with Regan at the beginning and middle of the series. Thursdays from 4-6pm PT/ 7-9pm ET, on Sept 25, Oct 2,  9,  23, 30, Nov 6, 13, and 20th. $395, sliding scale available. This is a first part of a two-part series. Part 2 will be offered in winter 2026 and builds off of Part 1. It’s fine to just take Part 1, but you’ll need Part 1 to move into Part 2. *Note: 10% of the money  received for this group (and all of Welcome Home Somatic’s offerings) will be donated to the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band Land Trust,  BOLD – Black Organizing for Leadership and Dignity and the Sameer Project, a Palestinian-led effort to bring food and medical aid to the people of Gaza.

Somatic Foundations & Embodied White Supremacy for White-identified Folks Who Desire a Just World for All (Part 1)

This will be a small group (6-8 people) 8-week online exploration of the principles and practices of somatics in the Strozzi/generative somatics lineage for white-identified people, using the lens of examining how white supremacy culture has shaped us, for the sake of contributing more effectively towards multiracial collective liberation work from a more grounded, resilient place. This series includes optional two 1:1 coaching sessions with Regan at the beginning and middle of the series. This series includes some optional readings and videos to engage with between sessions. Tuesdays from 4:30-6:30pm PT/ 7:30-9:30pm, Oct 7, 14, 21, 28, Nov 4, 11, 18, Dec 2. $395,  sliding scale available. *Note: 10% of money received for this group (and all of Welcome Home Somatic’s offerings) will be donated to the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band Land Trust,  BOLD – Black Organizing for Leadership and Dignity and the Sameer Project, a Palestinian-led effort to bring food and medical aid to the people of Gaza.

Somatics + Movement Drop-In Spaces (Tues/Thurs/Sat)

Like a co-working space, these are virtual inclusive co-moving spaces!  Co-hosted with fellow somatic practitioner Lisa, we offer three different groups, each following the same structure.

Big Fat Fun!

Tuesday’s group is open to anyone who identifies as fat or larger-bodied. 12-1pm PT/ 3-4pm ET.

Cranky Bodies Movement Club

Thursday’s group is open to anyone who lives with chronic illness, pain or disability. 12-1pm PT/ 3-4pm ET.

Big Cranky Movement Club

Saturday’s group is a new addition that we added this summer and happens from 11-11:45am PT/ 2-2:45pm ET. This is a mash-up of Big Fat Fun and Cranky Bodies Movement Club! If you connect with the focus of either or both of the other two groups above (Big Fat Fun or Cranky Bodies Movement Club), then this is a space for you!

Basic flow: All three groups follow a similar flow. Each group kicks off with a brief check in, then a short somatic practice led by Lisa or Regan or a guest practitioner (which can be done seated, standing or lying down), followed by *self-directed time* where you can do whatever movement feels good to you, on or off camera, be it dancing, physical therapy exercises, house chores, or any other movements that you’re drawn to do. You’re also welcome to use the time to rest while being in community. The goal is to use the time listening to what would nurture your body most.  Please note: This part is self-led, not a guided class. We’ll have some music to help keep us moving (suggestions very welcome) and then we come back together at the end and close out with a mini-dance party for a closing song.  Dancing is totally optional and can be done seated, standing or lying down.

Everything is optional–you are encouraged to participate in the way that feels best for you: check in verbally or in the chat or not at all, join us for the grounding practice and dance party or skip them. There is never any pressure to turn your camera on or speak.

Cost:  By donation. For the fall session, the suggested donation for each group you’d like to join is:
Attending one group per week = $50-75+
Attending two groups per week = $95-150+
Attending three groups per week = $145-$230+

To clarify, this means one payment to cover the whole fall session. Each group will meet 16 times this fall.
If this range is too high for you, we’d appreciate whatever is doable for you. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. If it’s easier for you to break it up over 2 payments, that’s fine. If you’d prefer to pay per session rather than one lump sum for the whole fall, the suggested donation per group meeting is $5-7+ sent on the day of.

If you’re experiencing financial abundance and able to offer more than our suggested range, we would greatly appreciate it and it would help us continue to holding this space without charging a fee.

Payment can be sent via Venmo @Regan-Brashear (Be sure to note what it’s for). If you don’t use Venmo and would like to make a donation, please let Regan know and we’ll figure out an alternate plan.
